The Pub

Pub 36 sits at the corner where Hamilton has gone out for a hundred years. Twelve taps, a deep whiskey wall, and a kitchen that stays honest: burgers smashed to order, wings by the pound, fish in a proper batter.
The room is built around one thing: a long marble bar, cool to the elbow, warm in the light. Come for a pint. Stay for last call.
When the weather cooperates, take the full menu outside to our dog-friendly Hess Village patio.

Screens around the room, sound up for the big ones. Hockey nights, Ticats games, the Saturday afternoon match. If the one you care about isn’t up, tell the bartender.
Wings by the pound, $4 domestic bottles, and the kitchen runs through the late game. This is the sports bar side of Pub 36: same marble, more yelling at referees.
Come October, the Hammers bring AHL hockey back to downtown Hamilton. Dinner before puck drop, back on the marble after the buzzer. Reserve and the table’s yours.

What's on each night at Pub 36?
Open Mic Mondays from 7 to 11 PM (no cover, sign up in person at 6:45). Toonie Tuesday: $2 nine-ounce drafts and $5 tacos. Wing Wednesday: half-price wings. Nacho and Tequila Thursdays: half-price nachos, with karaoke from 10 PM. Motion Fridays and Urban Saturdays: DJs after dark from 11 PM. Industry Sunday: 15% off for hospitality workers, with karaoke again from 10 PM.
Is there karaoke at Pub 36?
Yes, every Thursday and every Sunday from 10 PM to 2 AM, hosted by Emily Rooney. There is no cover, and you get a song in by asking the host at the bar.
Do you show the games from TD Coliseum?
Yes. Arena nights are on the screens with the sound up for the big ones, and we run pay-per-view fight nights. Pub 36 is about 600 metres from TD Coliseum, an eight-minute walk, so the room fills before the game and again after. Come early if you want a booth.
Is there a patio?
Yes, out front on Hess, with room for about forty-four, and dogs are welcome. It runs when the weather does and it is first come, first served.
Do you take reservations?
Yes, and walk-ins are welcome. Book a table at pub36onhess.com/reserve or call (289) 389-7193. For six or more, or a game night, booking ahead is worth it.
Is there parking?
There is no free lot and no on-site parking at the pub. Hess Village has paid street parking and paid lots and garages within a short walk.
What time does After Dark start?
Eleven. On Motion Fridays and Urban Saturdays the DJs take the room at 11 PM.
